Constant Disconnect Fix - GC Pocket Adapter

Before continuing with this guide, try this troubleshooting step.

  • Plug in the PCB to your computer.
  • Hold both of the primary buttons on the PCB.
  • While holding both buttons, press and release the typically hidden third button.
  • Attempt the firmware flashing process

If, at this point, you are still unable to flash the firmware, you may proceed with this guide.

If you notice that your Pocket Adapter is constantly disconnecting and reconnecting to your PC, there is a DIY repair option that you can use. Some of these chips have come defective from the factory, so we must remove the dead chip in order for the adapter to function correctly.
